Tattoo Aftercare.
Well done, you made it throught your tattoo session!
Now lets make sure you take the correct precautions throught the healing process to ensure a great looking tattoo for a long time to come.
Lets start with the things you should stay away from with a fresh tattoo.
this mean if you choose to use the protective barrier or not these are things you should avoid till your tattoo is healed, for the best heal.

DONTS

Doing Nothing
-
Direct Sunlight.

Exessive exposure to water or any other liquid (showers are fine).

if you work out, pick another body part keep away from repetitive stressful movemnets.

Touching, Scratching, Itching, Rubbing.
-
Shaving.
-
Medicated Ointments.
-
Tight fitting poorly ventilated clothing.
-
Oversaturation with aftercare products.
-
Pick one: wet healing or dry healing.
-
Do not rebandage.
-
Cleaning with towels or paper towel

DO’S
If you do no have a protective barrier film ​​​​​
-
Take off your temporary barrier in an hour. ( skip this part if you took your barrier film off)

Wash your tattoo with nonscented nonmedicated antibacterial soap. (Gold Dial,Clear Dial)

Leave your tattoo alone for the rest of the day.

On the Second day after you recieve your tattoo, start cleaning your tattoo 2-3 times a day for the next two weeks.

Also on the second day, start moisturizing with a nonscented, non medicated, water based lotion. ( All originals: Lubriderm, Aveeno, Eucerine) 2-3 times a day for the next two weeks.

If you have a protective barrier film
​

Your barrier film can last anywhere up to 7 days.
-
If plasma escapes the barrier film, exposes your tattoo, or irritates your skin take the barrier off.

when step 1 or 2 happens, take your barrier film off under running water, gentally peeling away.
-
After you have completly removed your barrier film, follow the direction for if you dont have a protective barrier.
